Active Glasgow East

Mount Vernon Community Hall is a valuable member of Active Glasgow East, a voluntary organisation established to promote health, wellbeing and an active lifestyle through sport and physical activity within the community. Active Glasgow East is led by local people and organisations, who are supported by Glasgow Life.
The Hub supports and delivers a range of activities for local people to get involved

Outdoor fun for all the family!
The last Sunday of every month
Come along to meet some of the Mount Vernon Community Hall volunteers and other members of the community making a positive difference to the surrounding areas to the hall by:
Creating and maintaining the Community Garden area to increase biodiversity in the area have somewhere to learn new skills and a place for people to meet socially.
Creating and maintaining an attractive Nature Trail within the community Woodland for both the local community and local wildlife to use and enjoy in the space of the old Railway path now leased by MVCH.
Adoption of Mount Vernon Station we are making changes to the station to make it more attractive to look at and increase biodiversity by adding more plants.
These are huge tasks and we do need your help!
So if you are interested in sharing your existing skills or wishing to learn new skills or would just like to meet up with likeminded people who want to do what they can to make a positive difference to the local community then please come and join us as and when you can.
