Funding Secured from Energy Savings Trust for e-bikes cargo bikes, cycle together bike, e- tricycles,
This will allow people to use our bikes during future Cycling Sessions, cycle together and also hire bikes for regular use to encourage active everyday travel.
Funding Secured for Hybrid Youth and Hybrid Adult Bikes from Cycling Scotland. Tools, storage containers, bike shelter, external ike maintenance station
This will allow people to use our bikes during our future Cycling Sessions additional funding through Active Glasgow East Sports Hub
Funding Secured from Glasgow Life Sport and Physical Activity Fund has allowed us tp purchase balance bikes and youth bikes
This will allow us to teach young people to cycle through Active Glasgow East Sports Hub

Some of our group members headed up to Bike for Good West for a bike maintenance class and also popped in to Free Wheel North coffee shop at Glasgow Green. Great weather and fabulous company on our cycle in to the city

Mount Vernon Cycling Club Cycle Leaders
We now have 7 qualified Cycle Leaders Thanks to Cycling Scotland Trainer Cliff who passed on lots of advice and useful tips to our Cycle leaders on Saturday the 3rd of July 2021.
A special thanks to Active Glasgow East sports Hub our partners Glasgow Life who helped fund this project and have continued to support us through our early stages of setting up our Cycling Club.

Cycling is mainly an aerobic activity, which means that your heart, blood vessels and lungs all get a workout. You will breathe deeper, perspire and experience increased body temperature, which will improve your overall fitness level.
The health benefits of regular cycling include:
